YIKICI YÖNETİMİN İZLENİM YÖNETİMİ TAKTİKLERİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: BEYAZ YAKALI ÇALIŞANLAR ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Her ne kadar yönetim yazını, yöneticilerin olumlu özelliklerine odaklansa da tarihte ve günümüz örgütlerinde sadist, tiran ve yıkıcı yönetici örnekleri de görülmektedir. Yöneticilerin astlarına karşı fiziksel olmayan düşmanca davranışları şeklinde tanımlanan yıkıcı yönetim altında astlar, farklı izlenim yönetimi taktiklerini izleyebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, "Yıkıcı yönetim altında çalışanlar hangi izlenim yönetimi taktiklerini uygulamaktadır?" sorusundan hareketle, izlenim yönetimi taktiklerinin yıkıcı yönetimi algılama düzeyine göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği çok değişkenli varyans analizi ile incelenmektedir. 178 beyaz yakalı çalışan üzerinde yapılan araştırma neticesinde, yıkıcı yönetimi algılama düzeyine göre niteliklerini tanıtma, tehdit etme, erdemli görünme, kendini sevdirme ve kendini acındırma olmak üzere izlenim yönetimi taktiklerinin anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın; izlenim yönetimi taktiklerinin tamamını ele alması ve izlenim yönetimi taktiklerinin yıkıcı yönetimi algılama düzeyi ile ilişkilendirilmesi açısından alanyazına katkı sağladığı düşünülmektedir. Araştırmada yıkıcı yönetim ile izlenim yönetimi taktiklerine ilişkin bilgiler yanında uygulayıcılara yönelik öneriler de sunulmaktadır.
