Abstract
Bu çalışmada Covid-19 pandemisinin Türkiye’de ortaya çıktığı 11 Mart 2020 başlangıç alınarak bu tarihten sonraki 10 hafta ve önceki 10 haftaya ait haftalık bankacılık verileri incelenmiştir. Veriler arasındaki farklılıklar üzerinden, hastalıkla mücadeleye karşı uygulanan tedbirlerin bankacılık sektörü üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Analiz Türk bankacılık sisteminde mevcut sektörler bazında, kamusal sermayeli, yabancı sermayeli, yerli özel sermayeli mevduat bankaları ve katılım bankaları esas alınarak yapılmıştır. Buna göre yerli özel ve kamusal sermayeli bankalar ile katılım bankaları, pandeminin reel kesim ve hane halkı üzerinde oluşabilecek olumsuz ekonomik etkilerinin artmaması için likidite sağlama, kredi kullandırma, kredilerin vadelerinin uzatılması ve takip oranlarının azaltılması şeklinde özetlenebilecek uygulamalar ile katkı sağlamıştır. Pandemi karşısında yapılan bu uygulamaların bankaların kar/zarar durumu, sermaye yeterliliği ve likiditesi üzerindeki etkileri daha sonraki dönemlerde farklı ilave analizler yapıldığında anlaşılabilecektir.
