Abstract

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to perform the Turkish validity and reliability study of the Vaccine Hesitancy Scale.
Methods: The population of this methodological study consists of individuals aged 18 and over living in Ankara. In the research, 540 people were reached, and a total of 483 usable questionnaires were obtained. The “Vaccination Hesitancy Scale” consisting of 9 items and two dimensions, validated and reliable by Luyten et al. (2019). In the study, language validity, content validity and construct validity were used to evaluate the validity of the scale. Internal consistency coefficient (cronbach alpha) and test-retest method were used to evaluate reliability.
Results: As a result of the research, it was seen that the Turkish version of the scale had a structure consisting of two dimensions (lack of confidence and risks) and 9 items. The internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0,874 and the test-retest result was 0,879.
Conclusion: It has been concluded that the Vaccine Hesitancy Scale is a valid and reliable scale that can be easily used to measure the hesitancy level of the society regarding vaccines in Turkey.

AŞI TEREDDÜDÜ ÖLÇEĞİNİN TÜRKÇE GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİĞİ

Year 2021, Volume: 9 Issue: 3, 499 - 517, 31.12.2021
https://doi.org/10.22139/jobs.962519
