İktisadi Büyüme İşsizlik ve Suç Arasında Nedensellik İlişkisi: Türkiye Örneği

Abstract

İktisadi büyüme, işsizlik ve suç arasındaki ilişkiler neredeyse bütün ülkelerin gündeminde yer alan önemli iktisadi ve toplumsal konulardandır. İktisadi büyüme, bir ülkenin kalkınmasında ve işsizlikle mücadelede önemli bir itici güçtür. Suç ise, sebep ve sonuçları bakımında farklılık arz eden toplumsal bir olaydır. Bu bağlamda suç; iktisadi, kültürel, toplumsal, coğrafi, ailevi ve benzer birçok sebepten dolayı ortaya çıkabilmektedir.
Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’nin 1980–2018 yılları arasındaki; iktisadi büyüme, işsizlik ve suç verileri yıllık dönemler halinde kullanılarak ekonometrik bir analiz yapılmıştır. Çalışmada ilk etapta Augmented Dickey Fuller ve Phillips Perron birim kök testleri kullanılarak veriler aynı seviyede durağanlaştırılmıştır. Akabinde Johansen eşbütünleşme testi kullanılarak seriler arasında uzun dönemli bir ilişkinin var olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak serilere Granger nedensellik testi uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan Granger nedensellik testi sonucunda, iktisadi büyüme ile işsizlik arasında çift yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin olduğu, iktisadi büyümeden suça doğru ise tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır
