AKADEMİK PERSONELİN ROL BELİRSİZLİĞİNİN İŞ PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ: İSTANBUL'DAKİ VAKIF ÜNİVERSİTELERİ ÜZERİNDE BİR UYGULAMA

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İstanbul ilindeki vakıf üniversitelerinde hizmet veren akademik personelin maruz kaldığı rol belirsizliğinin, iş performansı üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, çeşitli akademik unvana sahip 548 personele ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS ve AMOS paket programları kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında ele alınan örneklemde akademik personelin rol belirsizliğinin iş performansına etkisi bulunmaktadır. Farklı roller yerine akademik personelin nihai rolüne (ders sorumluluğu, yayın yapma vs.) odaklanması gerektiği önerilmektedir. Bu durumun hem akademik personele hem de hizmet verilen kuruma etkisinin pozitif yönde olacağı düşünülmektedir.

INVESTIGATION OF THE IMPACT OF ACADEMIC STAFF'S ROLE AMBUGUITY ON WORK PERFORMANCE: AN IMPLEMENTATION ON FOUNDATION UNIVERSITIES IN ISTANBUL

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of role ambiguity on the job performance of academic staff serving at foundation universities in Istanbul. For this purpose, 548 personnel with various academic titles were reached. SPSS and AMOS package programs were used in the analysis of the data. In the sample considered within the scope of the study, the role ambiguity of academic staff has an effect on job performance. It is suggested that academic staff should focus on their ultimate role (course responsibility, publishing, etc.) rather than different roles. The effect of this situation on both the academic staff and the institution served has a positive effect is thought to be.
